Landsat Image Processing

I've developed some Python utilities to help produce multiband images and images with pnachromatic image sharpening, using the GDAL and OSR Python libraries. You'll need these installed and type "from osgeo import osr, gdal" at the Python commandline to access the libraries.

Use this to change a geolocated image from UTM zone north to UTM south. You probably won't need to use this if your GIS can reproject rasters "on the fly" (e.g. QGIS 1.7 onwards).
Takes separate images for each band and combine into a single, multiband image. The input files are entered as a list argument (e.g. in RGB order).
Takes a 3 band image (e.g. colour, false colour IR) and a panchromatic image and forms a single pan sharpened image. Use the sub_area optional argument to select a small area - processing full Landsat scenes is slow. This assumes that the Pan image is twice the resolution of the other images (i.e. 15m for Landsat Panchromatic band, compared to 30m for other visible and near IR bands). UTM zone is hard coded - change this according to your geographic area.
Reads a multiband file with red and IR bands specified by the 2nd and 3rd arguments, and calculates NDVI.
